Watercolor
Gem Tones is watercolor, flecked with little gems of color in pastel. The metallic gold watercolor was painted on and then imprinted with texture. In this painting one finds rubies, emeralds, ultramarine, diamonds, pearls and garnets. This picture is matted showing a 1/4" metallic gold inner mat and a flat black 4" outer mat. The frame is dull metallic gold--high drama in the oriental style. The chop mark says, "Peace and harmony." That's what they told me in Beijing.
