It takes a good rain to clear the air of haze and raise the colors of flowers and grasses in the marshes. July and August are colorful months with rafts of invasive, but beautiful, flowers, daisies, black eyed Susan, and beach roses. This view is in Scituate -- painted in the marsh (with the crawlies), looking towards the land. The light in Scituate is exquisite for clear, pure, color painting.
